Cousin JerryYou get to be you.

So very much can happen, in a lifetime, or even on a single day of any lifetime.

Yet I can assure you that whatever has or will happen in yours, when all is said and done and you take that final look over your shoulder you will understand that the best part was that…. you got to be you.

HOLD that thought.

Because you GET to be YOU….Be your best version of you!

What does it look like?

  1. Reframing statements, comments that landed wrong – you NOTICE and decide how to reframe these so the next time they land more smoothly.

  1. Making touches that actually “touch” as you, with your unique magic.

  1. Messages that sound like you are a caring person – not a robo call – because you care when you deliver them.

  1. Clear asks for support. Believing that you offer joy as you navigate what is important to your giver.

  1. In-person still rocks. Call me old-school, but I still have people say, “Gosh this hug feels good.”

  1. Creating ‘totally safe’ ways to begin a relationship. While you can go online to a dating service, search for certain traits, etc. and make a call, you can also meet that right person at church or synagogue, volunteering, or through mutual connections.

For those new givers you want to connect or reconnect with?

One client, an ED of a YMCA held weekly coffee and donut sessions – Tuesdays with Tammy – just to talk or answer any questions. No registration, no fee, totally safe. Just yesterday – a coaching call with a fundraiser at a food shelter in Canada created an offer to drop in between X & Y time on Thursdays for a tasting from the food recovery program.

Your energy and optimism lifts up your relationships and philanthropy.

While I will admit it isn’t always the easiest to do….I want to be that person that lights up a room! So I need to manage the flight delays, lack of sleep, carpenter ants in my patio door, whatever…. that dulls my sparkle.

Energy Precedes Outcomes

YOU always have control over how you bring your energy – your presence – to every zoom call, text and in-person conversation. I know for a fact that on a low time, if I can make myself go to the gym and walk the treadmill for ½ hour – even slowly – it will transform my outlook and energy. At my hotel or home. I used to lecture myself about doing this. Now I simply ask, “How do I want to show up?  Who do I want to be?”

I want to be that person who makes as many hours of her day being her best self as she possibly can.

Join me! Focus on bringing your good energy for the power and joy of giving and leave the junk out.

Keep Going Forward

Breath! Sing! Smile! Manage your mindset. Ask yourself empowering questions….

Just. Keep. Going. Forward.

You have a calling, not a job. For your givers, your family, your community, yourself.
